Brooklyn Star Entertainment (BSE) is a multimedia entertainment company that creates, develops, produces, markets, merchandises and distributes original intellectual properties across all content channels: online, offline, on-air, retail outlets and related ancillary markets, all of which contribute to global expansion.
The company was founded by J. Anthony D’Aguiar in May 1998 with a mission to develop meaningful entertainment in various formats and recreate the way brands are managed and brought to the market in a multimedia, multitasking world.
The first production was an AIDS Awareness short film, “The Party’s Over,” which was entered into film festival competition. Followed by two plays, “The Girl Next Door” and “Family Values,” both of which were performed in front of sold out crowds in February 2001 at the Impacte Productions Theatre Space. Not limited to film and theatre, Brooklyn Star Entertainment has entered into the television with, “Making the Grade,” a 30-minute sitcom which aired on a local UPN affiliate in January 2002.
